The Student Government Association (SGA) exists to “provide a voice for the student body, encourage unity and fellowship, ensure a comfortable learning environment, and promote awareness of BBC.” As SGA members, students are given the important responsibility to foster an atmosphere that builds community amongst students and encourages all BBC affiliates to have “unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind” (1 Pt. 3:8). To accomplish that purpose, the SGA typically plans and hosts at least one event every semester and works in direct correspondence with the Student Ministry and Discipleship Coordinator.
All students past and present are eligible for membership with offices and control limited to the present active student body. Officers are elected annually at the first meeting of the fall semester, and must be enrolled in two courses in order to be eligible for election. Those elected into office at the annual election will become effective on November 1st of that year. The SGA meets once a month. If you are a student, past student, or alumni, you are welcome to attend the next meeting! For more information about the SGA, contact the SGA Officers by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Steps for Membership:
The Student Government Association welcomes all students, past or present, to become members and serve in the life of the student body here at Brookes Bible College. Therefore, we want to make the process to join the SGA as simple as possible, while maintaining a level of formality. In order to be considered for membership, interested students must:
Once these two steps are complete, current SGA members will then confirm membership of each interested student.*
All requests for meeting visitations and membership considerations should be filled with our Request Membership/Meeting Form.
We hope to have you on our association!

*All membership confirmations are based upon the unanimous discretion of the SGA.
