The Board of Trustees announces that Robert D. Thurman, Jr. has been named as the new President of Brookes Bible College. Mr. Thurman brings to the position a diverse background of experience and expertise as a pastor and church planter, a Christian education administrator, and a professor of biblical studies, theology, and Christian counseling on the collegiate level. Mr. Thurman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina and a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California.
Ron Boyer, Chairman of the Brookes Bible College Board of Trustees, commented, “Robert Thurman will bring fresh vision to BBC to keep her on course from a great past as a Bible institute, into an even greater future as a fully accredited Bible college. We are committed to providing students a quality education, rooted and grounded in the Word of God.” Mr. Thurman is scheduled to assume the duties of president February 22, 2016.
