ST. ANN – The Christian Business Leaders (CBL) will be holding their next monthly luncheon on Wed., June 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookes Bible College, an evangelical higher academic institution that serves the metro St. Louis region.
The luncheon is being held at the college’s brand new campus, which is located at 10257 St. Charles Rock Road, in the chapel and conference center. Tickets are $10 at the door, and admission includes a lunch for each guest. Guests must make a reservation with CBL in the St. Louis chapter under Fred Zolonko from Bott Radio.

The speakers for the event will be the well-renowned Ron Jones, a pastor and radio Bible teacher, and Richard Bott, owner and founder of the Bott Radio Network.

“This is an exciting time on our campus,” said Dr. Chris Stocklin, President of Brookes Bible College. “We are honored to having these two leaders on our campus, and we are dedicated to bringing in spiritual leaders in to our new facility.”

Jones has served churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Virginia as senior pastor for weekly attendance ranging from 300 to 3,000 worshippers. He has earned a bachelor of science degree in financial planning from Purdue University, a master of theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a doctor of ministry degree in expository preaching from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 2011, Jones founded Something Good Radio as a weekly half-hour broadcast on Sunday nights in the Washington D.C. region on WAVA. Today, the program is heard approximately 192 times each day on nearly 100 radio stations across the nation, and people in 129 countries worldwide have listened to the radio station through an Internet broadcast.

Jones is passionate about introducing others to Jesus Christ through anointed biblical teaching. He currently resides in Fairfax Station, Va. with his wife Cathryn, their two children, and a golden retriever.

Bott, chairman and founder of Bott Radio, has more than 90 stations in 15 states, reaching nearly 50 million people throughout the nation. Bott has been behind a microphone since he was a boy singing for child evangelism in churches throughout Minneapolis, Minn. His career in radio began after marrying his wife, Sherley, after his father, who owned a radio station in San Francisco, hired him to sell advertising for clients.

After Bott experienced success in his father’s radio station, he had a vision of having his own station and making a difference in other people’s lives. He founded Bott Radio in 1962.

Bott was inducted into the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame, which is the highest honor the organization confers, at the organization’s annual convention in Nashville, Tenn. in 2008. Past recipients have included Dr. Billy Graham, Dr. James Dobson, and others. Bott and his son, Richard Bott, II, President and CEO of Bott Radio, are continuing to fulfill their mission of spreading the word of God to listeners.

“We’re really looking forward to having these two great men speak at our college and truly hope that others will come out to enjoy a lunch and spend some time contemplating the Lord,” said Dr. Stocklin.

Brookes Bible College offers an affordable, two-year program. Each student gains a greater knowledge of the Bible. Brookes’ students are equipped with tools for applying the knowledge they gain for various fields of Christian service.
