After graduating from Calvary Bible College, John Stack served as missionary to Kenya, East Africa. John served at West Overland Bible Church and later Hazelwood Baptist Church as youth pastor. During this time, he studied at Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis while he and his wife prepared to go to the mission field. After completing studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, the Stacks moved overseas to serve as Strategy Coordinators for the Kurdish peoples of Northern Iraq. John later served as Country Group Leader for Sudan and was part of the Regional Leadership Team for North Africa and the Middle East. In 2003, John returned to Iraq as the Stateside Liaison for the Iraqi Task Force for the IMB.
John served as a bi-vocational pastor of First Baptist Church of St. Ann for 10 years. During that time he began to teach as adjunct professor at Brookes Bible College in 2014. Following his time as pastor, and while teaching at Brookes Bible College, John continued to lead various mission experiences in Cambodia, India, and back to Northern Iraq. John and his wife of 32 years have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
