Instructor - English
Brookes Bible College is seeking a part-time faculty position at the beginning rank of instructor. This faculty member will regularly teach the GE111 English Grammar, and GE112 English Composition courses but may teach additional English courses as needed/desired.

Essential Functions:
- Teach a schedule of 1-2 classes per semester.
- Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi and course outlines
- Teach theoretical information, practical skills, methods and techniques.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with the College staff and students.
- Complete administrative duties such as: attending faculty meetings, ordering textbook desk copies, offering availability information for scheduling of classes, maintaining grades and paperwork, and submitting final records in a timely fashion.
- Stay current in subject matter through professional development, through involvement in professional organizations, and attending professional meetings, conference or workshops.
- Develop new courses as desired/requested.
- Participate with reasonable efforts to recruit and retain students
- Perform other related duties as established or assigned.

- Demonstrated evidence of professional growth and academic currency.
- Willing to contribute to the overall mission of the College to provide biblical education to develop Christlike leaders who are well-equipped to serve the Church and impact the world.

- Demonstrable knowledge of English grammar, composition, and college-level literature
Qualifications
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a demonstrated commitment to the statement of faith of Brookes Bible College
- A continuous exhibition of a desire to minister and serve others in varied capacities.
- Evidence of a mature Christian lifestyle by active involvement in a conservative evangelical local church
- Education: a Master’s degree in English or related field (e.g., Literature, Journalism), or above with strong preparation and promise.
- Experience teaching in an educational institution preferred.
- Computer proficiency.
- Excellent oral and written command of the English language is required.
- Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
- Possess excellent organizational skills.
- Exercise confidentiality, good judgment and discernment.
- Reading and comprehending correspondence is imperative.
