Programs of Study

The academic programs at Brookes Bible College are designed to give each student a comprehensive biblical education in an affordable two or four year program. Our goal is that each student will graduate from Brookes Bible College
​equipped and ready to serve the Lord faithfully and effectively.

Bachelor Degree Programs

The Bachelor of Theology degree program (B.Th., 120 credits) equips students to invest their lives in church or mission vocations or to prepare for further education at a seminary or graduate school. The program offers a broad biblical, theological, and practical foundation for such ministries as well as a firm foundation in church history, and the exegetical skill necessary for working with the original languages of Scripture. The Bachelor of Biblical Studies (ONLINE) degree program (B.BS., 120 credits) equips students with a thorough comprehension of the text of Scripture, including the exegetical and applicational skills for confident interpretation of it and wise conduct by it. This degree would also prepare a student well for further education at a seminary or graduate school. The uniqueness of this program is its distance modality, enabling a student to complete the degree without on-campus attendance. LEARN MORE

Associate Degree Programs

The Associate of Biblical & Ministerial Studies degree program (A.BMS., 64 credits) equips students to minister in the local church. Attention is given to developing Bible study and research skills as well as public speaking. This program would be the degree of choice for someone who wishes to answer God's call as a pastor, associate minister, or Christian education director. Many students select this degree in order to better equip themselves to be more effective lay leaders and teachers within the local church. Other students simply want to enhance their understanding of Scripture and deepen their walk with the Lord. LEARN MORE
The Associate of Biblical Counseling & Practical Theology degree program (A.BCPT., 64 credits) equips students to minister in counseling and discipleship roles of vocational or lay ministry. Attention is especially given to developing wisdom concerning life's challenges through grasping the complexity and practicality of theology from the sufficient Word of God.  This program would be the degree of choice for someone training to be a biblical counselor, pastor of community, discipleship, or counseling, or as a foundation for additional theological training. Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, the graduate will be able to perform the following at the Associate or Bachelor degree level:
  • Recall key themes, verses, events, persons, and messages of each Bible book.
  • Explain theological terminology and concepts clearly.
  • Defend substantially biblical doctrine in the areas of Theology Proper, Bibliology, Anthropology, Hamartiology, Soteriology, Christology, Pneumatology, Angelology, Ecclesiology, and Eschatology.
  • Interpret texts using sound exegetical methods and the principle of authorial intent
  • Understand the principles for confirming authorial intent.
  • Distinguish between the different literary genres in the Bible.
  • Utilize consistently the normal literal-grammatical-historical approach to interpretation.
  • Think critically, discern according to the worldview and logic of Scripture, and reach valid conclusions through rigorous research and reasoning
  • Recognize the central tenets of a Christian worldview and differentiate them from alternative systems of belief.
  • Analyze issues according to the data and logic of reveled Scripture, with consideration for rationalism and empiricism.
  • Construct responses to metaphysical questions, ethical dilemmas, and current events according to a biblical worldview.
  • Understand the practical implications of biblical doctrine for progress in Christian maturity.
  • Diagnose worship disorders at the root of sinful and/or foolish conduct.
  • Construct a plan for change and establishment of godly patterns beginning with inner man desires, values, beliefs, affections, and choices, and extending to outer man words, deeds, and attitudes.
  • Identify the particular questions and human need for divine guidance.
  • Investigate the application value of texts of Scripture with regard to instruction, model, and wisdom.
  • Implement applications of Scripture as divine guidance for daily living and overcoming challenges.
  • Recognize the role of leaders in God’s design to build the Church
  • Describe the characteristics and approaches of a Christlike leader promoted in Scripture.
  • Design a plan for leading another toward progressive Christian maturity.
  • Understand principles of effective communication.
  • Demonstrate effective communication through public reading, writing, speaking, teaching, and proclamation
  • Critique oneself with regard to style, clarity, and persuasiveness in communication.
  • Articulate the Christian gospel central to the practice of evangelism, instruction, and counseling.
  • Understand the Scripture’s sufficiency for material necessary for making disciples of Jesus.
  • Use the Scripture effectively in the practice of evangelism, instruction, and counseling.
  • Describe the biblical-theological basis for a strong work ethic.
  • Critique personal strengths and weaknesses with regards to professional competencies and work ethic.
  • Formulate a plan for change to strengthen weak character traits and ministry skills.
  • Select a local church and primary ministry through which to serve.
  • Explain the vital importance of church membership.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a local church and the Christian ministry.
  • Appraise unique opportunities and responsibilities within God’s unfolding plan of redemption in Church and world history.

  • Investigate immediate local church and Christian ministry vocational paths that match personal opportunities and responsibilities.

  • Define from a biblical-theological perspective the role of a Christian among the kingdoms and cultures of the world.
  • Examine the profound problems facing the diverse peoples and cultures of the world.
  • Argue thoughtfully and compassionately for the merits of God’s wise instruction concerning the problems facing the diverse peoples and cultures of the world
